A gilt bronze seated figure of Amittayus, Qing dynasty, Qianlong period (1736-95), dated by inscription.

The figure is cast seated in dhyanasana with downcast eyes and a serene expression. The lower front of the throne is incised with nine characters reading Da Qing Qianlong Gengyin nian jing zao, 'made during the Gengyin year of the Qianlong reign under the Great Qing'. Height 18.5 cm.

Dent. Mandorla missing. Missing attribute. Wear to gilding.
