A fine Swedish rococo gilt-brass four-light lantern, Stockholm, later part of the 18th century.

Frame of gilded brass with glass sides. Hexagonal shape. Rich decoration of rocailles, flowers, garlands, and finials in the shape of flames. Height 94 cm, diameter 56 cm.

Provenance

Swedish private collection since the 1930s-40s,
Thence by descent within the family.
