Bukowskis presents Important Spring Sale, the season’s most significant live auction, showcasing the finest in art, antiques, Asian works of art, and jewellery.

Highlights from the Art Department include works by leading Swedish masters, such as a self-portrait by Axel Törneman "Väg med sittande hund, Fontainebleau" (Road with sitting dog, Fontainebleau) by Carl Fredrik Hill, "I Hamburgs hamn" by Anders Zorn,” Bolla. II” by Carl Larsson, ”Iris II”I by Ulla Wiggen, and "I blå rock. Målaren och Madeleine" by the German-Swedish artist Lotte Laserstein. Among the international artists are renowned names such as Vu Cao Dam, Akseli Gallen-Kallela, and Louis Gauffier.

The print section features highlights including “Double Gray Scramble” by Frank Stella, alongside other acclaimed artists such as Roy Lichtenstein and Joan Miró.

The Art Department also celebrates the 150th anniversary of Carl Milles with a section dedicated to the sculptor, featuring notable works such as "Guds hand" ("The Hand of God") and “Poseidon”.

The Furniture and Works of Art department offers masterpieces, including a Gustavian commode signed by Gottlieb Iwersson in 1781, a casket in gilt brass, copper, and steel by Conradt Mann (active in Augsburg and Nuremberg circa 1600–1630), and a Rococo lantern for four candles of masterpiece quality.

Among the auction’s silverware highlights are an exquisite late 17th-century filigree casket with enamel decoration and gemstones, a pair of elegant Rococo candelabra from Stralsund, and several generous drinking vessels, such as the partially gilded silver tankard by Daniel Schwestermüller from Augsburg, dated 1685–1687.

The carpets, textiles, and Islamic art department presents pieces from various periods and origins, including 19th-century rugs from British India, several works from the renowned Seirafian gallery in Isfahan, and several carpets by Motachem.

In the Asian ceramics and works of art section, you’ll find objects spanning China’s rich artisan history. The auction includes imperial porcelain, jade, Chinese furniture, textiles, paintings, carpets, bronzes, and numerous collections – including items from the Gustaf Wallenberg collection.

The auction also offers classic, timeless jewellery and significant diamonds, as well as several unique items from imperial Russia, including a Fabergé pendant set with chalcedony and diamonds.
