Lennart Olson's "Rött ljus/Red light, Stockholm, 1970" is a photographic classic! Judging by the title, Olson captured the image at a pedestrian crossing in central Stockholm. The driver's eyes are hidden, but all the more focus is on her sensual lips. The image's strict formal language aligns well with Lennart Olson's other motifs. He became world-famous in the mid-20th century for his images of bridges inspired by concretism in general and by the artist Olle Baertling in particular. Olson was part of the Swedish photo agency Tiofoto, founded in the late 1950s, and is one of Sweden's most renowned photographers of all time. He is represented in a long list of museums, including Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Centre Georges Pompidou, and The Museum of Modern Art in New York. Since the spring of 2013, Olson's entire artistic estate has been part of the collections at Hallands Art Museum.
