One of the most technically advanced watches of the 1970s, the Pulsar Time Computer Calculator was the world’s first commercially available wristwatch with a built-in calculator. The exclusive version in 18-karat yellow gold was produced in very limited numbers and represented the absolute cutting edge of electronic watchmaking when introduced in 1975.
The watch houses an LED module that displays the time and is operated via small buttons designed to be used with a special stylus pen. The calculator performs the four basic arithmetic functions and was considered a true technological marvel of its era.
At launch, the model retailed for approximately USD 3,950, making it more expensive than many mechanical luxury watches of the time. Today, it is extremely rare and highly sought after by collectors, particularly in gold. This version is considerably rarer than the stainless steel or gold-plated editions, which makes it especially desirable among enthusiasts.
