More information

Tudors "Big Block” chronographs debuted in 1976 as the brand’s first automatic chronographs, powered by the Valjoux 7750. To accommodate the rotor, Tudor introduced a thicker Oyster case, earning the enduring nickname “Big Block.” In 1989, the design evolved into the 79100 series, retaining the robust case and screw-down pushers while refining dial and bezel options. This example, serial B605311, dates to the mid-1990s and features the classic reverse-panda dial and “OYSTERDATE / AUTOMATIC – CHRONO TIME” signature. Offered in very fine condition, this watch is accompanied by its original box and certificate, as well as a Tudor service receipt dated 2016.
