More information

Launched in 2005, the ref. 2200.50.00 belongs to the very first Planet Ocean series and stands out as the bold 45.5 mm “Big Size” model with 600 m water resistance. Early details include the unusual pairing of two broad-arrow hands, an aluminium bezel insert with its distinctive silver inner ring, and the Co-Axial calibre 2500C, Omega’s first widely adopted Co-Axial movement in a diver.

Closely related to the Planet Ocean worn by Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, this reference embodies the watch’s early Bond era identity. Positioned just before the 2009 Liquidmetal LE ushered in ceramics, the 2200.50.00 captures the purest expression of the first-generation Planet Ocean - a large, charismatic diver at the start of one of Omega’s modern success stories.
