The Art Department presents works by some of the most significant artists of the 20th century. Among the highlights are “Cirkus” by Isaac Grünewald, “Maquette II Jubilee III” by Lynn Chadwick, “Morgon i hamn” (Morning in Harbour) by Carl Kylberg, and “Orientalisches Motiv” by Adamson-Eric. The auction also features several private collections, including A Life Dedicated to Art – A Private Collection of Modern Swedish and International Art, comprising works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Lucio Fontana, Victor Vasarely, Roberto Matta, Andy Warhol, Antoni Tàpies, Jan Voss, Erró, Dado, Bengt Lindström, Joan Miró, and Björn Wessman.

The Print Department includes top works such as “Paloma et sa Poupée sur Fond noir” by Pablo Picasso, “À l’heure de l’observatoire – Les Amoureux” by Man Ray, and “The Stowaway Peers Out at the Speed of Light” by James Rosenquist.

The design department presents furniture, textiles, glass, silver and lighting from some of the most prominent Scandinavian and international designers of the 20th century. Highlights of the department include two iconic café chairs designed by architect Carl Bergsten for the 1906 Exhibition of Art and Industry in Norrköping, a rediscovered table from the Stockholm Exhibition 1930 designed by his brother Harald Bergsten, and a dining room piece from the early 1920s by architect and designer Uno Åhrén. A guide for buyers – How to bid


Participating online is easy – You can bid in advance by placing an absentee bid online or live online in real-time during the auction. Choose an option that fits you. Read more about the options below.

Register with one click – please note that if you are an online customer you need to register for live auctions to be able to bid at the auction. Absentee bidding (online or written form)

If you are a verified live auction customer and logged into your account, you can place an online absentee bid up to when there are 10 lots left before the lot you are interested in is hammered. Simply find the lot you wish to bid on and enter your maximum bid in the “Place your bid” field, after this Bukowskis will bid on the item for you.

You may also send in a written absentee bidding form to our customer service. Click here to download the absentee bidding submission form and send the filled out form to info@bukowskis.com.

Bid live online in real-time

If you are a verified live auction customer and logged into your account, you can participate online in real-time during the auction. Find the auction you want to participate in and click “Join the live auction”, and you will be directed to Bukowskis’ live auction streaming page. The lot being sold is shown on the screen – so keep an eye out for the lot you wish to bid on. After this, you can place your bid in the “Place your bid” field.

Bidding by phone

If you prefer to bid by telephone, one of our specialists can call you directly from the salesroom and bid on your behalf. Simply fill out the telephone bidding application form and send it to telephonebid@bukowskis.com by 8 PM on the day before the auction. Please specify the catalogue number, your full name, address and telephone number(s) where you can be reached during the auction.

Bid in the auction room

If you wish to bid live in person in the salesroom, you can register at Bukowskis, Arsenalsgatan 2 in Stockholm from 9:30 AM on the day of the auction. For more information, please contact our customer service: info@bukowskis.com.

Please note: To submit a bid exceeding 3 million SEK, we may require a special approval based on bank reference. Please send an email to validation@bukowskis.com in order to be approved for bidding on this level.

Payment, collection and transport


Payment

Payment must be made within 8 working days after the auction ends. You can find information on how to pay for your items under ”My Pages”. Payment can also be made during ongoing auctions at the premises on Arsenalsgatan 2, by Berzelii Park. (please note that we do not handle cash).

Collect

Arsenalsgatan 2 – Welcome for in-person collection of auction purchases at Arsenalsgatan 2 during the auction days November 18–19, and November 20–21.

Please note that we are unfortunately unable to offer collection during the period of November 22–27.

Västberga Allé 3 – Starting Friday, November 28, you are welcome to Bukowskis, Västberga Allé 3, to collect your auction purchase.

Please note that from December 5 onwards, a storage fee of 50 SEK per item per day will be charged. Bukowskis requires full payment for your item before collection can take place.
