A Nordic Renaissance limestone table top, from Öland or Kalmar, dated 1625.

Red limestone from Öland. Rectangular with a profiled edge and sloped underside. Central shield-shaped cartouche with date, initials, and ownership marks: "1•6•2•5 / •I•M• / •B•L•", possibly referring to Johan Månsson Ulfsparre of Broxvik (b. late 16th century - d. 1655) and his wife in his second marriage, Brita Lilliesparre af Fylleskog (b. 1598 - 1655). As they married in 1628 in Skattmansö, the year 1625 may refer to their betrothal. Length 125.5, width 80.5, height 7 cm.
