A pair of late baroque faux bois-painted chairs, attributed to M. Meling, 1730/40's.

Painted in walnut imitation. Back with a pierced baluster splat, curved rails with carved decoration of arlabete, cabriole legs with H-stretcher. Seats upholstered in leather. Underside with painted label "D:G:". Seat height 47, back height 104 cm.

Meling blev ålderman i stolmakarämbetet 1741, och genom hans dotter Chatarinas giftermål var han även svärfar till Olof Höglander och därigenom morfar till Johan Erik Höglander.
