A Baltic 17th century parcel-gilt silver tankard, mark of Johan Strengman, (active 1686, 1690-1701) probably 1691, Nyen.

Cylindrical, on three d ball feet with fruit decor, a curved handle with decor of fruits and a terminating fruit finial. The lid with chased ornament featuring a coat of arms of the Printz and Tvilling families surrounded by a leaf wreath and an inscription: "Carl Printz Ana Margaretha Twilling". Height 19 cm. Weight 1526 g.

Carl Printz (1660-1740) and Anna Margaretha Tvilling (1660-1700)
The jug was likely made for their wedding in 1691.
Thereafter, his daughter from his second marriage to Christina Timmerman: Anna Margaretha Carlsdotter Printz (1708-1782) married to Karl Clayhills (1699-1740),
their daughter: Elisabetha Clayhills (1728-1775) married to Anton Martin Backman (1724-1762),
their daughter: Anna Maria Backman (1753-1824) married to Benedictus Stenius (1739-1821),
their daughter: Maria Charlotta Stenius (1785-1864) married to Anders Johan Lille (1775-1839),
Thence by decent within the Lille family, a list accompanies the tankard.
