A Nobel commemorative silver plaque, marked Henri Varenne, Paris 1907.

The front cast with portrait medallions of Louis (Ludwig), Robert, Alfred och Emanuel Nobel and the tanker "Zoraster", inscription in french: In Comemmoration of a billon tons of raw oil extracted by the Nobel Brothers Company 1879-1906. Reverse with the Fire Temple at Baku and the text: Ignis, mundi, lumen, vitae focus. Length 10.1 cm. Original case

Provenance

Motor designer Anton Carlsund (1865-1958) worked for the Nobel brothers in Russia from 1891, and from 1918 to 1926 he was the CEO of the Nobel-Diesel engine factory in Nynäshamn. He was the father of the artist Otto G Carlsund.
