Around 1900. An ivory depicting Zulaykha in a palace garden with her ladies. Yusuf (Joseph) approaches in the background. The story of Yusuf and Zuleikha was popular and illustrated in many different parts of the Islamic world, as well as in the Book of Genesis, where Zulaykha is referred to as Potiphar's wife.
