Wu Mingzhong is a Chinese contemporary artist, born in 1963 in Hebei Province, who currently lives and works in Beijing. His artistic practice has developed over several decades and is characterized by a strong focus on painting within the contemporary Chinese art scene.
Wu has held numerous solo exhibitions both in China and internationally, including in Beijing, Seoul, and New York. His solo shows, such as Fake Authenticity and Hey, be careful, demonstrate a recurring exploration of perception, authenticity, and contemporary visual expression.
He has also participated in many group exhibitions and biennials around the world, with presentations in cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Moscow, Athens, and Basel. His work has been shown at prominent museums and art institutions in both Asia and Europe.
Through his extensive exhibition history, Wu Mingzhong is recognized as an established figure within contemporary Chinese art, with a career spanning from the late 1990s to the present.
