Designed in 1986, "How High the Moon" is named after a popular jazz standard. An example of this design is held in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

Shiro Kuramata was a Japanese designer. In the 1980s, Kuramata was invited by the Italian designer Ettore Sottsass to join the Memphis Group in Milan, where he, together with young designers, revolted against the conventional design ideals.
