Acquired by the present owner at the ELLE Decoration auction in support of scholarship holders at Konstfack University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, 2001.

The armchair is mentioned and illustrated in an article in ELLE Decoration the same year in connection with the auction, which was held under the theme "Frivolt" (Somersault). Regarding the form of the armchair, Klenell himself explains: "Performing a somersault is difficult, and if you do it wrong, it can hurt to land. That’s why I’ve created something soft to land in, a sea of cushions for daring stuntmen."
