Total weight ca 35 grams. The overall impression is good, the watch is in good vintage condition with minor traces of use. The button to open the lid works.

A simple function check indicated the movement runs; accuracy, power reserve and long-term performance have not been tested and servicing may be required at the buyer’s expense. More information

The Rolex "Coin Watch" stands as one of the brand’s most intriguing and unconventional creations, seamlessly blending numismatics with horology. Concealed within a genuine coin, the watch exemplifies discretion and craftsmanship, making it a highly collectible piece among enthusiasts.

Coin watches first gained popularity during the 1970s, when a number of prestigious watchmakers (including Cartier, Corum, Piaget, Patek Philippe, and Rolex) began producing their own interpretations. These watches were ingeniously constructed using genuine coins to form both the front and back of the case, with a discreet pusher on the side that allowed the case to open, revealing a hidden dial within.

Examples of the Rolex "Coin Watch" are already a rare sight at auction, seldom appearing on the market. Even more exceptional, however, is encountering one accompanied by its original box and certificate. To the best of our knowledge, this is the only example ever being offered in such complete condition, further enhancing its desirability and significance among collectors.
