The present example of the Patek Philippe reference 3960 is fresh to the market and preserved in exceptional “New Old Stock” condition. Notably, it still retains its original blue protective plastic, the watch also remains fully intact and sealed, having never been removed.
Introduced in 1989 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Patek Philippe, reference 3960 was released as a limited edition and produced in a range of precious metals. The series comprised 2,000 examples in yellow gold, 150 in white gold, and just 50 in platinum. From the outset, the model attracted considerable attention among collectors, offering a refined and classically proportioned wristwatch that encapsulates the maison’s most celebrated design codes.
The watch features an elegant 33 mm officer-style case, paired with a white lacquer dial adorned with black printed Breguet numerals and a small seconds display, lending it a timeless and understated charm. Opening the hinged caseback reveals a finely hand-engraved inner cover bearing commemorative inscriptions.
