Bent Knudsen was an important figure in Danish modernist jewellery, known for precise craftsmanship and a clear, restrained design language. Trained as a silversmith at C. M. Cohr in Fredericia, he later worked at the influential Hans Hansen studio from 1946, a centre for Scandinavian silver design in the mid-twentieth century.
