Purchased from Gösta Montell (1899-1975), head of the Etnographic Museum 1954-1966. Montell took part on Sven Hedins expedition in Central Asia 1929-1933. He published three books; one about the Temple Yonghegong together with Ferdinand Lessing and one about the Mongols and another 'Amidst gods and people, memories of happy years in Peking'.
