A Gustavian giltwood mirror by J. Åkerblad (master in Stockholm 1758-99).

Gilded in several colours of gold. The broken pediment with decoration of rocailles, garlands and draped swags, similar lower section with shell formation, framework with engraved decoration of cymation, pearl bead and ribbon work against a partially etched background. Two-part, mercury-gilded and faceted mirror glass. Signed IÅ under the crown and marked with the Stockholm town mark. 1775. Height 123.5, width 53.5 cm.
