A pair of Late Gustavian mirrors, by Pehr Ljung (1743-1819).

With original gilding. Straight form. Crest with crossed laurel branches and fluted pendant with ribbon bow. Antiqued figure medallion flanked by floral scrolls against a green ground. Frame with laurel and pearl bead. Height 179 and 179.5, length 67 and 64 cm. The larger with additional leaf decoration in the frieze. Two-part faceted glass. Not signed.

Ett kännetecken för Ljungs arbeten är den, löst skurna och påspikade, karakteristiska lagerstaven vilken återfinns på flera av Ljungs signerade arbeten. Bl.a fanns på Östanå ett par signerade spegellampetter med denna lagerstav. Pehr Ljungs räkenskapsbok vittnar om att han hade familjen Hebbe, liksom Fredenheim, som kunder. Till exempel upptar den i juni 1779: "Fru Hebbe 2ne stycken spegelramar á l antique rikt ornerade stycket à 8Rd 10s 8." Och i juli 1782: "Hebbe Christian 2ne stycken Tremeauer med medaillioner och ornerade lister stycket à 12Rd 10s 8.".
