The Danish silver cover with inserted danish medal/memory coin of King Christian V on August 25th, 1699. Thumb grip in the shape of a lion on a globe.
The porcelain in underglaze blue, white and gold depicting a river landscape, Qing dynasty, Qianlong (1736-1795).

Provenance

Gift to the President of the Republic of Finland (1946-56) Juho Kusti Paasikivi and Mrs. Allina Paasikivi from their friend, shipowner Hans Tobiesen, in the early 1950s during their visit to Copenhagen.

Then by descent to the current owner in 1960.
