An English late 18th century silver hot-water urn, London 1788.

Urn-shaped, round foot on a square base with four legs. The lid with an urn-shaped finial. The lid also with marks. Curved handles at the attachment decorated with leaves. On the body, engraved standing lions. No maker's mark. Height 38.5 cm. Weight approx. 1094 g.

Provenance

Purchased in London in 1966 from the firm H. Buckler Antique and Modern Silver by Member of Parliament and later Governor Ruben Wagnsson, thereafter inherited within the family.
