Contoured rim with decor of flowers and leaves. On four volute-shaped feet. Chiseled and engraved decor of leaf scrolls. In the mirror, a gift engraving to the Swedish court singer Jenny Lind. Also inscribed underneath "B Smith, Duke St, Linn. Inn Fields". Height 5 cm. Diameter approx. 50 cm. Weight approx. 3200 g.

as a slight token of the esteem & gratitude
and in commemoration of the concert given by her
by the Thirty-first day of July, MDCCCXLVIII.
on which occasion through the exertion of her unrivalled talents
one thousand seven hundred and sixty six pounds
were added to the funds of the charity
and a solid foundation laid for completing the fabric
the unfinished condition of which had encited
her generous sympathy
