A Swedish Marieberg faience terrace vase with cover, 1778.

Pear shaped on a sculpted base with a staircase and a rabbit. Polychrome decoration of a trophy group with a bow, arrows, sabers and a feathered crown all against a shield with a bow to one side, the other side with a butterfly. Traces of gilding. Marked "MB 78 B" under three crowns. Height 34.5 cm. Two loose labels from the Rörstrand collection no 133.

Restored.

Purchased at Bukowskis auction from the collection in 1926, A256, catalogue number 381.
Thereafter by descent.
