Richly carved and sculpted giltwood with decoration of rocailles, shell formations, and acanthus leaves, cabriole legs with terminating diamond-shaped heels. Loose upholstered seats. Length 50, width 43.5, seat height 40 cm.
Likely commissioned by Count Göran Gyllenstierna af Björksund and Helgö (1724-1799), lord of Torönsborg, Örby, Herrborum, Djursö, among others. Recorded in his estate inventory from 1799 at Torönsborg under "Various Household Goods" as "outdated": 4 [gilded] Tabourets with the same [green silk] upholstery----1.16-.
By inheritance to the sole heir, granddaughter Baroness Lovisa Ulrika Horn af Rantzien (1751-1823), married to Count Carl Gabriel Mörner af Morlanda (1737-1828), lord of Esplunda, Björksund, Torönsborg, Herrborum, among others.
