One sculpture depicting a boy with a lotus leaf in a pale green shifting into brown in some areas. Height 6 cm. A sculpture depicting a boy holding a goose, in a pale celadon green and russet brown. Height 4.2 cm. A sculpture of boys in a cartweel tumble, measure 4x4 cm. A feline animal with a bat, length 4.2 cm.

Natural inclusions and feathering to the stone.

Provenance

From the collection of Sylvia Hurtig (born Armstrong Morris) (1926-1996), thence by descent. The collection was brought together mainly in the 1960’s. Sylvia, born in England, Newscastle-on-Tyne, but living in Stockholm had a particular passion for jade and during her frequent visits to London she acquired the pieces from Christie’s, Sotheby’s as well as from Bukowskis and through the Swedish/Armenian antique dealer Solberger, Tegnérgatan, Stockholm.
