More information

Designer Johan Jonsson works at the boundary between sculpture and design. The Luscious collection is characterised by monumental forms and high-gloss surfaces.

The present table, the first of two prototypes, was made in 2010–2012 and differs slightly in appearance and execution from the edition of 6+2 APs, produced in 2013–2014. Luscious originates from a single continuous line, which has been folded and subtly reshaped to capture the tensions and forces inherent in its hollow structure. The table was made by hand in close collaboration with skilled craftsmen. Individual steel components were hand-hammered, welded together, ground and polished to a mirror-like finish.
