The Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Worldtimer was first introduced at BaselWorld in 2017 as a limited edition of 87 pieces in platinum. In 2019, the collection was expanded with new versions in stainless steel and 18K Sedna Gold.
Reference 220.10.43.22.03.001 features a 43 mm stainless-steel case with matching bracelet and a blue sun-brushed dial with the characteristic vertical teak pattern of the Aqua Terra collection. A ring of global destinations surrounds the dial, allowing the wearer to read the time across the world’s principal time zones.
At the centre of the dial is a 24-hour ring, with light blue indicating daytime and dark blue indicating night. The representation of the Earth is created on a grade 5 titanium plate using laser ablation. The process forms the blue ocean while leaving the continents in relief, with the contrasting colours of the Earth’s surface created naturally through the chemical reaction of the laser treatment.
The watch is powered by Omega’s automatic Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 8938, offering approximately 60 hours of power reserve. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back and is Master Chronometer certified, including resistance to magnetic fields of up to 15,000 gauss.
Combining an elaborate world-time display with an unusually detailed dial construction, the Aqua Terra Worldtimer represents one of the most technically and visually distinctive models in the modern Seamaster collection.
