A particularly attractive example of the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date ref. 1500, dating from circa 1974. The watch is cased in 14K yellow gold and powered by Rolex's automatic calibre 1570.
Of particular note is the highly sought-after 14K gold riveted Oyster bracelet, ref. 7205, fitted with no. 57 end links. These early gold riveted bracelets are increasingly difficult to find and are of considerable interest to vintage Rolex collectors. It would look great on a period-correct 14K gold Rolex Daytona, including references 6239, 6241, 6264, 6263 and 6265, as well as other Rolex models such as references 1002, 1005 and 1500.
The combination of the understated 34 mm Oyster case and the substantial solid-gold riveted bracelet gives the watch a particularly appealing and distinctly vintage Rolex character.
