Several sketchbooks and two paintings depicting Bergianska are preserved at the Olle Olsson Hagalund Museum in Solna. There are also other paintings showing variations on the theme, such as the painting “Victoria Regia House”, previously sold by Bukowskis (Spring Modern Auction, Stockholm 560, cat. no. 97), as well as a painting entitled “The Greenhouse, Bergianska Garden”, dated 1973 and illustrated in Wennerholm’s book. He writes: “Olle was fascinated by the contrast between the tropical vegetation inside the shimmering glass and the Nordic cold and austerity outside.” It is also conceivable that the vibrant colours and tropical warmth of the greenhouses provided an uplifting contrast to the grim reality of the Second World War, which must have shaped the lives of many people in Sweden and Europe during this period.
