More information

The jester motif was one that Bror Marklund frequently returned to throughout his artistic career. Historically, the jester represented a buffoon who mocked those in power, but was also the only person who could speak truth to power without being punished. Bror Marklund’s sculptural groups featuring the jester have been erected in Örnsköldsvik and at Årsta Torg in Stockholm.
