Wiwen Nilsson - With the Form in Focus

Wiwen Nilsson (1987-1974), the silversmith who lived and worked in Lund, was for more than half a century one of the protagonists of Swedish craftsmanship. His major breakthrough came at the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930. Wiwen Nilsson's extensive production is characterized by solid craftsmanship, angular shapes, and smooth surfaces – attributes that were groundbreaking during his era. This collection offers a varied selection that well represents his strict style but also includes elements of a softer idiom that were occasionally embraced by Wiwen Nilsson. Here you will find Jewellery adorned with rock crystals and brooches depicting birds, along with a fine selection of silver items typical of Wiwen Nilsson.
