Design Eero Aarnio Showroom

Eero Aarnio is one of the most well-known names in Finnish design. He was born in 1932 in Helsinki and, through his studies, focused on the world of design and architecture. Early on, he began experimenting with materials that were unusual at the time, such as plastic and fiberglass, from which he created furniture that broke the boundaries of traditional design. Aarnio's style is easy to recognize expressive shapes, playfulness, and strong functionality are combined in his work in a way that evokes emotion and leaves a lasting impression. His work is featured in several international design museums, such as MoMA in New York and the Vitra Design Museum in Germany.

In 2016, Eero Aarnio Originals was launched, continuing the production of furniture designed by Aarnio while honoring the original ideas. In addition, his studio has developed lighting and playfully designed furniture for children. At the core of Aarnio’s thinking is the idea that an object can be both useful and delightful – and it is precisely this that makes him unique in the field of design.
