Takashi Murakami, born in Tokyo and educated at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, is one of the most prominent Japanese artists of our time. His vibrant style, closely associated with Neo-Pop art, merges traditional Japanese aesthetics with influences from Western pop art.
