Takashi Murakami

Takashi Murakami, born in Tokyo and educated at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music, is one of the most prominent Japanese artists of our time. His vibrant style, closely associated with Neo-Pop art, merges traditional Japanese aesthetics with influences from Western pop art.

Murakami is particularly known for his iconic character “Mr. Dob” and for his work through the Hiropan Factory studio, where his visions are realized on a large scale. Alongside his artistic practice, he is active as a curator and mentor to emerging artists. Welcome to explore works by Takashi Murakami.
