Föremål ur Falk Simons silversamling

OBJECTS FROM THE FALK SIMON SILVER COLLECTION
During the early years of the 20th century, Gothenburg businessman Falk Simon began what would become one of the most important collections of Swedish silver of all time. It is the breadth of the collection that makes it particularly interesting. To begin with, he allowed his purchases to be guided by his instincts and acquired items spanning several centuries. With time, however, he came to focus on 18th century Swedish silverware. Simon loved to use his silver on a daily basis. He donated much of his collection to the Röhsska Museum in 1934. We are now delighted to present 19 pieces from Simon’s fascinating silver collection.
