X:et Erixson

X:ET ERIXSON
Bukowskis is honoured to have been entrusted by the family of Sven X:et Erixson with selling two large oil paintings and a number of watercolours and prints. The collection includes everything from early works from Erixson’s study trip to Munich in the early 1920s, including sketches from the city’s Bavarian National Museum, to the large abstract oil painting ‘Sophögen, Söndrum’ (‘Rubbish Dump, Söndrum’), produced in 1956. Sven X:et Erixson is an important Swedish modernist whose larger pieces are characterised by a spontaneous, temperamental style in luminous patterns of colour, as can be seen clearly in the works offered for sale here.
