Som 23-åring flyttade Bengt Lindström och verkade i Paris, där han studerade vid André Lhotes och Ferdnand Légers målarskolor från 1948 och framåt.
Inledningsvis under sin karriär i Paris arbetade Bengt Lindströms i en kubistisk anda och han utförde även en serie tuschteckningar, inspirerade av bl.a Picasso. Auktionens verk är utfört vid denna tid.
