Karl Norin konstruerar sina verk med material som vid första anblick ser ut att vara klassiskt hantverk. I själva verket är det massproducerade och maskintillverkade billiga heminredningstextilier som spetsar, garner, ryamattor och fejkpälsar. Norin komponerar dessa på en duk som sedan täcks med Epoxyplast. Därefter täcks verket av en glasskiva och en pump skapar ett vakuum så att alla luftutrymmen fylls av plast. Materialets ursprung och förvandling är en viktig del av verket.
