More information

In 1978 Sir Peter Blake, along with Patrick Caulfield and Allen Jones each designed bomber jackets to be sold to raise funds for the The Institute of Contemporary Arts. Made of brightly colored polyethylene, and selling in 1978 for £6 each, these jackets were designed during the height of throwaway pop fashion. The back is emblazoned on the back with the words ‘THE I.C.A LIKES ART,’ and its sleeves bear the names of artists, from The Beatles to Joseph Cornell. To coincide with the ICA’s 70th anniversary, the original Art Jaks editions were re-launched after thirty-seven years.
Viewing of the items at Alma, Nybrogatan 8 in Stockholm, 18th - 20th - October. Viewing and collection takes place at Bukowskis Online, Västberga allé 3, from October 23rd.
