Carl Hjelte reste 2002 till Californien på uppdrag för tidningen Vagabond. Så här skriver han om bilden:
Fotot med den översnöade bilen är tagen i Death Valley. Om jag minns rätt så hette den lilla byn Lone Pine och vi körde in där under ett kraftigt snöoväder vilket är mycket ovanligt där ute i öknen och platsen räknas som en av de hetaste i världen, på sommaren förvisso.. Snöfallet var så pass ovanligt att den lokala baren bjöd laget runt för att fira! :-)
