More information

The Heart of the House is an oath of love, a reminder that jewelry has been given and worn for the same reasons from one millennium to the next. The piece is also a nod to the rich ornamentation and timeless beauty of ancient Finnish jewelry.

Tony Granholm (1966-2018) started working for Kalevala korun in 1993. Granholm's guidline in his work as a designer was the timeless idiom. Jewellery is, according to Granholm, a long-lasting product whose aesthetic value must be so strong that it survives and exceeds trends, even though it is always the product of its time.
