Kaisaleena Mäkelä (1963-2011) was a versatile designer who was well versed in older mythology and symbolism without losing touch with the present in her jewelery.

Mäkelä was uncompromising and strong in her form language. She worked to find a freedom and the truth in her life and in what she did. She wanted to add joy and a sense of belonging through her jewelry.
