Beloved Swedish artists

The theme auction Beloved Swedish artists present a curated selection of works by Swedish artists active during the 20th century, where bold landscapes and intense compositions dominate.

Among the artists represented in the auction are Bengt Lindström, Inge Schiöler, Lennart Jirlow, Tora Vega Holmström and Olle Baertling. From The Halmstad Group, works by Esaias Thorén, Sven Jonson, Axel Olson and Erik Olson are offered. The theme auction also includes two sketches by Nils Dardel. These works on paper are models of Dardel's work "Philippe", made in 1924, and one of his most significant works ", Dansbanan". One of the auction highlights is a very tender and intimate depiction of a sitting girl in white by Greta Gerell from the artist's later production.
