Robert Högfeldt

Gustaf Robert Högfeldt was born in 1894 in Eindhoven, Holland and died in 1986 in Stockholm.

He was an artist and is primarily known as a watercolourist. His paintings often depict comedic and fantastical narratives. Högfeldt studied painting in Düsseldorf and at the Stockholm Academy, as well as in Paris. His works are represented in the collections of the Nationalmuseum and Moderna Museet in Stockholm. Perhaps most famous are his humorous images and book illustrations, such as the illustrations for Maria Olofsson's book "På trollkalas, sagor för snälla och stygga barn."

In this themed auction, 20 watercolours by Robert Högfeldt are now being sold, all from the same collection.
