The popularity of Finnish modern art and design continues to grow both in Finland and abroad. In our autumn Design + Art Helsinki -auction you can find the gems of Finnish modern art and design!

Note, for example, Timo Sarpaneva's "Buttefly" glass sculpture and Laila Pullinen's majestic "Mute oracle", or such gems of the modern Finnish painting genre as Georges von Swetlik's "Red study, virgin theme" and Rafael Wardi's "Friends".

In the design category we offer a wonderful selection of lamps by, for example, Paavo Tynell, lisa Johansson-Pape, Viljo Hirvonen and Ilmari Tapiovaara. The masters of glass are also represented - Timo Sarpaneva, Tapio Wirkkala, Gunnel Nyman, Alvar Aalto and others. We also have a large collection of Birger Kaipiainen's ceramics and some stunning flower and butterfly themes ceramics by Rut Bryk.

Remember to check out the jewellery section for some beautiful gold- and silver pieces bu Björn Weckström, Tapio Wirkkala, Elis Kauppi and others, for example Weckström's "Quadrate Forms" bracelet and "Saattueen varjot" necklace, and a gorgeous necklace and earring set from the 1960s by Wirkkala.
