Provenance

The previous owner was colonel Hugo Robert Standertskjöld (1844-1931), who was born in Finland and the owner of a weapon factory in Russia.

He was a member of Svenska Litteratursällskapet i Finland and a good friend of Johan Ludvig Runeberg and Alfred Nobel.

The present owner’s grandmother inherited the pieces together with many other works by acclaimed Finnish artists, such as Schjerfbeck, Edelfelt and Lundahl.
