A Caucasian niello-silver mounted Kindjal dagger, second half of 19th Century.
Double-sided grip of bone and horn with niello-decorated silver fittings. Two-sided blade with twin fullers and gilt maker's mark. Leather-clad scabbard with niello-decorated fittings and a small knife. Length 60.5 cm, blade 46 cm. Small knife 18.5 cm.
Wear due to age and use. Blade with screatches and minor rust spots and pitting. Horn grip with minor damage. Blade of small knife with rust damage.
